Sanct Peter Holiday Home – Half-Timbered Charm in the Ahr Valley

Eco-friendly & built for well-being – just 80 metres from Hotel Villa Sanct Peter in the wine village of Walporzheim

Since January 1st, 2024, our traditionally restored half-timbered house “Sanct Peter” has once again been welcoming guests to the Ahr Valley. Carefully rebuilt after the devastating flood of 2021, it offers a unique and healthy living environment – designed with ecological and sustainable materials.

Biological construction was our top priority:
Clay wall heating, cellulose insulation in the roof and inner walls, Steico wood fibre panels, cork under solid wood flooring, lime-based wall paint – all contribute to a noticeably pleasant and healthy indoor climate. Power is supplied by a photovoltaic system, heating via a heat pump.

Not just a dream for allergy sufferers – but for anyone who values sustainability, comfort, and character.

We wanted to create a space that immediately evokes a sense of well-being. A place that feels warm, welcoming, and naturally calming – just like we look for when we travel ourselves.

Because how you feel in a space depends on more than design – it’s about the air, the warmth, the silence. That’s why this house was built with only natural and health-conscious materials.

Originally renovated with great care over two years, the house was due to open just one week after the flood in July 2021 – but had to be rebuilt from scratch.

Ideal for 2–4 guests

With approx. 115 sqm of living space, the house features:

• 2 comfortable bedrooms

• 1 modern bathroom (ground floor)

• a spacious open-plan living area with kitchen, dining space, gallery level and balcony (upstairs)
